Alexis Sher is a sophomore from Boston, Massachusetts and currently resides in West Simsbury, Connecticut. She is a prospective Government and Hispanic Literatures and Cultures double major. After living in Spain during her junior year in high school, she became fluent in Spanish and since being abroad, loves all things travel. Besides writing for Arcadia, Alexis is involved in the English as a Second Language Program, NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut, and hopes to attend law school after Wesleyan.
Arcadia was founded in 2015 by the Wesleyan Democrats and the Wesleyan Republican Committee to serve as a platform for political engagement. Entirely student-run, independently-funded, and pluralistic, Arcadia aims to increase and elevate political discourse on campus by illustrating the range of political views and experiences of Wesleyan students.
